The 2010 Fall quarter begins Monday, Sept. 13th.  Courses are on the quarter system, consisting of 10 weeks of class, a one-week break, and one week for final exams. The deadline for registration is Monday, Sept. 6th, after which a $5.00 late fee will be assessed.

Introduction to Counseling

  1.   Study of the various aspects of personal counseling including, understanding addictions, ministering to abuse victims, an overview of the most common disorders, counseling troubled adolescents, identifying cognitive distortions, treating depression, etc. Each graduate to receive a counseling certificate. This course is approved for 20 contact hours through the Therapon Institute and the Louisiana Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority.

  1.   A study of the prophet and his prophecies. An examination of the apostasy of Israel, warnings against unacceptable worship,  judgment against Assyria and Babylon, the coming of the Messiah, God’s reign of universal peace, etc.

  1.   Scientific evidence supporting the accuracy of the biblical record. The fallacy of evolution is clearly exposed. This is a great class for teenagers as well.

The Life of Christ

  1.   Course covers the history and message of Christ in three sections corresponding to His three years of public ministry. Student will study the practical nature and character of Christ revealed in how He responded to His disciples, the poor, and the religious leaders with an eye toward becoming more like Christ.

20th Annual Banquet will be held at the Clarion Hotel,  100 Westbank Expressway in Gretna, Friday, November 5th          at 7:00 PM. The night will feature a full course meal and special music by the New Living Way worship team. Tickets are $20.00 each.
