The 2012 Winter quarter begins Monday, Jan. 9th.  Courses are on the quarter system, consisting of 10 weeks of class, a one-week break, and one week for final exams. The deadline for registration is Monday, Jan. 7th, after which a $5.00 late fee will be assessed.

  1. Study of the Epistle to the Romans including the nature and need of salvation, understanding the carnal nature, God’s plan for Israel, and practical Christian living.

  1. Verse by verse study of the book focusing on end-time fulfillment. Major themes include the seven churches, the rapture, tribulation period, rise of Antichrist, the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments, Mystery Babylon, and more. Course will include studies in the prophecies of Daniel.

  1.   History of the kingdom of Israel under Saul, David, and Solomon, including the birth of the monarchy, Saul’s victories over the Philistines, the rise and fall of David in Saul’s court, David’s ascension to the throne, David’s war against the Philistines, Absalom’s rebellion, the reign of Solomon, the building of the temple, etc. This course is now available as an online course, via the Internet. If you desire to take this class online, please state this when registering for the course. Please include your email address and phone number with your registration. You will need a computer with high-speed Internet access (e.g. cable, DSL). Your computer should be equipped with a microphone and speakers, or a computer headset with a microphone attached. You will also need a printer, if you want to print out the materials.

  1. An examination of the misuse on ministerial authority. Includes the 10-tape video series, “Breaking the Silence on Spiritual Abuse” by David Johnson and Jeff VanVonderen.  This course is helpful to anyone hurt by bad church experiences or those desiring to minister to anyone hurt by any type of abuse.

Therapon News


The Therapon Institute will conduct a one-day seminar entitled,

“Effective Marriage Counseling”

on Saturday, January 7th at Woodland Park Baptist Church, 1909 JW Davis Dr. in Hammond. Topics include: biblical marriage counseling, barriers to communication, developing a treatment plan, and more. The instructor is David Rodriguez. This seminar is approved for six contact hours by the National Association of Social Workers, LA Chapter, the Louisiana Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority, and the Therapon Institute.
